    Yellow roots on Phal.

My phalaenopsis has been looking a bited sad lately, & it is been about a year since he was last mathematically potted, so I figured it was about time.

As long as two somewhat merely disturbing things. On the other hand first of all, they're was not much root growth.
Barely enough, in fact, to compensate for the old, dead roots. Secondly, much of the new root growth was trasnlucsent yellow, rather than the pale green Im used to. It looked amlost like on the verge of rotting, but they certainly seemed firm enough.

Does any one know what Im doing wrong? Underfeweding (possibly)? Overwatering (unlikely)? Altogether something horrible under the stairs?

It would help to mainly know what medium you're growin in, and what your feeding and plainly watering regimen is like.

    Yellow roots on Phal.

Hi Karma, I just recently repotted a phal for a friend of mine, it was in a slotted orchid pot that was in a ceramic pot with no holes. When i removed it from the pot there was water in the bottom of the outer pot. The roots were not in to bad shape there were a few rotted roots but not many, however there were many roots that were yellow and firm. I have since repotted and they seem to be doing fine, so i would just repot in a good medium as i did. good luck Hank.....
