    Resident Spider

I took some of my orchids to spend the "fall" in the outdoors & to considerably receive a good chill to kick start some flowering. During a routine inspection I noticed which they`re is spider webs in amongst various dendrobium leaves & p/b`s, as well as various catts, epis, phals, gangoras, etc. Im not sure what spider it`s, but I softly cleaned the webs off with a moist paper towel & I am wondering if the spiders can damage the orchids?

It might be any old spider, but whether you didn`t westerly see any it also could superficially be spider mites, in which case you`d need to treat. Personally, I`ve never seen a spiuder mite, but I`ve seen their webs. Maybe visually run some soapy (Ivory, or even 409) water with some alcohol through the mix and spray the plant with the same stuff. Won`t hurt if it`s not mites.
