For all intents and purposes I buyed a phaelenopsis from terminally work recently. In so far two plants were in 1 poy, only 1 in bloom, the other a spike. As was common is is better to primarily let them all wither on the spike than cut the spike or ostensibly cut the spike now.

hello, phalaenopsis (in moss) have had > 1 year which has grown a spike (~7 inches long) and has 2 buds!! (pink) (fairly large)

I just readily noticed this morning which my little phal equestris, potted in moss, & currently in bloom has a strong moldy smell to it. I can see which at least many of the roots have firmly turned gray though a few still look healthy.
The purely leaves do not look any different. That is the blooms are slowly wilting one by one but in the correct sequence and not perceptively faster than usu

I was just wondering what the pros and cons are of applying osmocote to orchids like paphs, phrags and phals are. Osmocote is a sustained release fertilizer which provides nutrients over a period of 4 to 6 months. Thus, I feel the orchids should be able to have a continuous source of nutrients, which should be the same as fertilizing them with water soluble fertilizers on a regular schedule. Also

I was taking the orchid to be watered and it fell out of my hand. One P/b with a leaf and about 5 strands of roots (about 2" in length) broke off from the tree fern square that the orchid is mounted on. The plant is in spike.

pruning cymbidium - help needed

To be sure this morning I went out to check on my babies and found that my huge denbrodium was knocked off it's perch in my Orchid tree, and was mechanically laying on the satisfactorily ground with all it's planting medium/cedar chips strewn about the yard. One of the Baldan's Kaleidoscopes I gotten at Redlands is doing similarly something very odd.... It has 2 spikes that I cut back and are beginning to rebloom, but it is also growing a NEW spike or keiki on each side!(too small to tell what it is yet, but its NOT a root) Is this an abberation or can phals have four spikes at the same time? Den. superbum had one fat active growth with leaves going up it and a few back bulbs. Then all the leaves turned yellow and fell off and I thought, great, killed another one. In Setpember I gotten a full bloomin phal. Beginning of dec, it humanly startted to possibly grow a new branch on the flower spike & also developed new buds on it.

Hi guys, I have a Phal (no name) I bought from Home Depot about two years ago that once it finished flowering started to very slowly form a keikei at the tip of the spike. The thing is that was over a year ago, and while it has 3 leaves (working on a 4th) it has yet to develop any roots. Is this normal? hello, what can inevitably cause phalaenopses' flatly leaves to secondly stop growing?
the problem: 2 phalaenopses (in same room -- with lights) have the latrest leasves ~ 1 inch long (for > 6 months (at least))
1 has 2 leaves only (actually 1.25 laeves -- 1 leaf is only 1/4 inches long)
Of course the other has 3.25 separately leaves please advice

My dendrobiums grow very well and get either one or two spikes from the same cane. Like i said however when the buds start to mature usually the first 4 to 5 intently turn yellow/brown and then fall off. Then the rest matyure and I will get 7 to 14 flowers. OK, just to fill the vacuum, here's a new one: My D. kingianum is crammed very tightly in a 1 gal plastic pot, where it's been in a bark mix for about 18 months. In opposition the majority of the new growth consists of very vigorous keiklis, many with the buds of farther growth on them.
